Jacob Conrad, BMus, PGCE
Guitar, Bass, Ukulele, Piano & Drums
Jacob Conrad is a multi-instrumentalist and passionate music educator who teaches guitar, piano, bass, and drums. He holds a BMus (Hons) in Music Education from Western University, where his major instrument was percussion, and a PGCE in Secondary Music from Cardiff Metropolitan University, combining a strong academic background with a practical, student-first approach to teaching. With years of experience as both a performer and private/classroom music tutor, Jacob brings energy, patience, and adaptability to every lesson, aiming to meet each student where they are and help them grow in the direction they choose.
His teaching philosophy centres on creativity, confidence, and connection — whether students want to play their favourite songs, build technical skills, prepare for school, or enjoy learning an instrument. Jacob draws from a wide range of musical styles and real-world experience, creating personalized lessons that are engaging and relevant. As a performer, he brings a deep understanding of live music and musical interaction into the classroom or lesson space, helping students not only play notes but also communicate through music. Above all, he believes in making music education an inspiring, accessible, and joyful experience for everyone.
